Compare the Pyjamas Plate and Favourite Plate on material, durability, and everyday use. Find out which kids plate fits your table, wall, or snack routine.
Quick answer
Choose the Pyjamas Plate for a lightweight, playful everyday plate for breakfast and snacks. Choose the Favourite Plate if you want a decorative, food-approved plate that can also hang on the wall or serve as a tray.
Material and durability: what the catalog tells you
The Favourite Plate is described as food approved and dishwasher safe, but the catalog notes it may be sensitive to certain conditions. That makes it a practical choice for regular meals, yet it still needs a little care. The Pyjamas Plate description does not mention food approval or dishwasher safety, so treat it as a plate for light use and hand washing unless the packaging says otherwise.
Design and display: playful stripes vs engraved words
The Pyjamas Plate comes in pastel beige with stripes in three colours, including midnight blue. Its delicate pattern suits a casual table setting or open kitchen shelf. The Favourite Plate has an ultra-matt glaze and laser-engraved letters in HYGGE, SMILE, or LOVE, and you can add a plate hanger to turn it into wall decor. If you want a plate that doubles as a still-life piece, the Favourite Plate is the more flexible option.
Key trade-offs to weigh
- Everyday cleaning: The Favourite Plate is dishwasher safe, while the Pyjamas Plate has no stated dishwasher rating. If you want low-effort cleanup after every meal, the Favourite Plate is the safer bet. Check the Pyjamas Plate care label before putting it in the dishwasher.
- Display flexibility: The Favourite Plate can be hung on the wall with an optional plate hanger or used as a tray for candles or oils. The Pyjamas Plate is designed for table and shelf display only. If you want a plate that works as decor, pick the Favourite Plate.
- Material certainty: The catalog does not name the Pyjamas Plate material, so you cannot confirm it is melamine from the product page alone. The Favourite Plate is food approved, which gives clearer guidance for children’s meals. For kids’ daily dining, choose the plate with explicit food approval.
